Amy Royall | J.W. Jenkinson Laboratory for Evolution and Development

Amy Royall

I am primarily interested in how organisms develop and the major gene regulatory networks that drive development, as well as how these processes evolved. My research experience has been using cell and molecular biology along with embryology to investigate these regulatory networks. As a student on the Interdisciplinary Bioscience Doctoral Training Partnership (BioDTP) I am widening my skillset and tailoring my experience to be more evolutionarily focused whilst still pursuing my interest in developmental biology. My PhD project investigates the evolution and function of mammalian homeobox genes in early embryonic development.
